Keep Your Gutters Flowing Smoothly

Gutters protect your home from water damage, and keeping them clear helps prevent clogs, overflows, and repairs down the line. Gecko Gutter takes pride in performing professional gutter cleaning services to help make sure your system works as it should.

What Our Gutter Cleaning Service Includes

Our gutter cleaning service focuses on removing debris from the inside of your gutters where buildup affects water flow and drainage. When we approach a cleaning job, we focus on restoring proper drainage.
Gecko Gutter does not clean the exterior of gutters. Exterior cleaning requires a different set of equipment, such as water tanks, pressure washers, surfactants, and landscaping protection. Because cleaning is not our primary business, we do not carry that equipment on our trucks.
Here’s what our service does include:

No leaves, but lots and lots of shingle grit! This was a huge screen enclosure, and the water coming off the roof valley tried to push the shingle grit toward the far downspout, but could only move it a few feet. Shingle grit holds moisture against the gutter for extended periods of time, hastening corrosion and seam failure.

Customized Cleaning Quotes

We prefer not to give flat, one-size-fits-all quotes over the phone because every home is different. Many factors affect the time and care a cleaning requires, including:
image

For instance, if a gutter system is older or in rough shape, your cleaning may need to be done more slowly and carefully to avoid loosening sections or causing damage.

We have also gone out to provide cleaning estimates for customers who thought it was time for a cleaning, and found the gutters were spotless! Generic pricing can potentially be unfair for either the homeowner or the cleaning company. A brief, pain-free quote ensures that you only pay for what is necessary.

Our Process

Inspection First

We always start with a proper inspection using an inspection pole instead of ladders. This lets us quickly assess debris levels. By using a pole, we avoid unnecessary setup, and show you what’s actually happening in your gutters. You’re welcome to join us! We’re happy to explain what needs cleaning and what doesn’t.

In many cases, the gutter system as a whole is mostly clear. When gutters are properly installed, rainwater naturally carries debris toward the downspouts. However, it’s common for a downspout opening to become clogged while the rest of the gutter remains clean. In those situations, a focused downspout cleaning is often all that’s needed to restore proper flow.

Cleaning by Hand

When cleaning is required, we do it by hand – the “old-fashioned” way. We do not use a blower to blast debris out of the gutters, which can scatter leaves and buildup across your roof, driveway, and landscaping.

Instead, debris is removed manually, remaining material is carefully cleared, and a blower is used only at the end to tidy up the surrounding areas. All debris is taken with us, so nothing is left behind for you to deal with.

Safety & Access

Safety is always a top priority. We do not walk on tile roofs because of the risk of breakage, and we take precautions when working at heights. If gutters cannot be safely accessed by ladder, often where screen enclosures meet the roofline, we typically recommend installing cleanout panels in the enclosure. This reduces the risk of damage while allowing safe, easy maintenance in the future.
We also use ladder standoffs so that we do not risk scratching or denting your gutter.

Optional Rinse
Whether we recommend rinsing gutters or not depends on the situation with the home we’re working on. We do not carry hoses on our trucks, since cleaning is not our primary business and water-filled equipment could damage our gutter machine.
If you have a hose available to reach the gutter and give us permission to use it, we’re happy to rinse the gutters, especially when there is mud or organic buildup that should be flushed out. This leaves your gutters completely clear and ready to handle the next rainfall.

When Gutter Cleaning Makes Sense

Gutter cleaning is often the right solution when you notice:

That said, cleaning is not always the best long-term solution. If debris builds up frequently or the roofline is difficult to access, there may be leaf guard options that reduce ongoing maintenance.

If we notice these situations, we will explain it clearly and walk you through your options so you can make the right decision for your home.

Scheduling & Availability

Our cleanings at Gecko Gutter are typically scheduled around installation and repair work. Availability may vary, and flexibility is appreciated. Our goal is to perform cleaning carefully and safely, not rush through it.
