What is Atlas Leaf Guard?
Atlas is a stainless steel screen cover for your gutters. It keeps out all but the smallest particles of matter, ensuring rain passes into your gutters while keeping leaves out. The center screen is stainless steel, while the outer ribbing is thick, 100% aluminum. The strong aluminum strips firmly hold their shape and fit smoothly onto the outer edge of your gutter.

Where We Get Our Product
Atlas Leaf Guard is a product of the Gutterglove company. It is sold by several retailers under different names. Lowes carries it under the name Atlas as a special-order product, Home Depot carries it as Gutterglove, and it can even be found on Amazon under the name Raptor. The product comes in a 5" version sold in stores, and a 6"/7" version that must be special-ordered.

How Atlas is Installed
Atlas is screwed on for maximum strength and stability. While the outer lip comes with an optional 3M tape strip, we rarely use it. This allows individual pieces to be easily removed and replaced in case of damage such as a fallen tree limb. Without being adhered to the gutter, the leaf guard can also be removed and reinstalled without damage if you find yourself in need of a roof replacement down the road.
Atlas can be installed either under the shingles, or bent to fit under the roofline so that the shingles are undisturbed.
We do not install Atlas or any products underneath the shingles, as this can damage the starter shingles (the row of shingles at the edge of your roof), and may also void your roof warranty and/or shingle warranty.
Bending each piece to fit your roofline takes a little more time and adds some additional labor cost. We believe the benefit of keeping your shingles intact is well worth the choice.
Atlas comes flat in 7.25" width. Each piece is bent to fit your gutter, and installed to suit your home's unique roofline. In this installation, the leaf guard was folded over and tucked up against the underside of the roof edge for a perfect fit to match the roof pitch.
